First off, the name Top Rank V.I.P. was chosen because they feel that they can deliver "top ranked" music everytime they drop a track. The V.I.P. in there name stands for "very important people". This is a group which consist of 4 rappers. Umar Abdul-Malik,(Omega)17, Brelan Bell-Ozier(Brelo Bell)16, Devante Raspberry(McDizzle)14,and Bradley Blackwell(Boom)17. Top Rank V.I.P. could probably be compared to Crime Mob, because of there crunk music. But this group is not tied down to one type of music, and they are known locally for there wide variety of styles, beat selections, and music in general. They can make music for the ladies, and just about any type of person.
All of the Top Rank V.I.P. members were born and raised in the south. Tennesse to be exact, about the location. They all live in Jackson, TN. Which is not a big city, So its pretty hard to be heard. Still they dont give up. They have a pretty big local fan base, in Jackson and some surrounding cities. Mainly from doing shows, and there myspace page(www.myspace.com/officialtoprankvip). There intentions in the music business, are to make a big impact in hip-hop in general. They wanna have the oppertunity to make a big name for themselves, and also want to have the oppertunity to get in the position to take care of themselves and family one day.
This is a group with more potential than a bomb, to blow up. They're dedicated to their music. Though still in school, so they have to finish there homework first. Itz plenty nights though when they get into the grove writing a new song. They accidentally forget to go to sleep, on a school night. Now, thatz dedication, then they put in the same dedication in the studio. As much as possible, and dont plan on slowing down. Though if you were in the studio with them, you will be laughing all night. They're the goofiest bunch of teens I've eber seen. At the same time, They're the hardest workers. If you ask them why they work so hard, to forfill a dream. They will answer, " Why not work hard, said Brelo Bell? If you play basketball and dont start, your dumb not to work hard, right? Thats exactly how we're looking at the rap game. Thus we put our all into it, we're not losing anything. We have way more to gain, so I wanna ask you. Why not work hard? "
In July of 2008, is when Top Rank V.I.P. hooked up with Almane Lockhart ( teen of crunk ). They seen him doin his thing on myspace, and simply wrote him a comment. They talked for a lil minute, until they came a cross the beat that would be Top Rank VIP's song " Buck Jumpin ". Thats when they really got an internet buzz. They still do work with Almane Lo, and just released a track to the internet called " Fly Dude ". Which is also a TEEN OF CRUNK PRODUCTION. Look out for alot more music from Top Rank V.I.P. w/ Almane Lockhart on the beat.
Other than this being a rap group. There is plenty of talent in the background, or hidden talent. Brelo Bell does Graphic Designs, and both Brelo Bell and Omega. Are getting in into producing beats, and they are gettin better by the day. Mc Dizzle and Boom, both do there share of dancing. They do routine, or a southern dance from Memphis Tn, called "Bucking or Choppin". Omega and Brelo, are also getting into the art of dancing, not too deep though. Just simple snap style dances. But they all get crunk and "Buck Jump" at a party. When that crunk music comes on.
