Jibril "KonVerse" Taylor was born August 2, 1991 in Eastern New Orleans, Louisiana. At age six his father was arrested, forcing his mother to join the army. During the time his mother was stationed on Fort Bragg , North Carolina. He stayed with grandmothers in New Orleans. While staying in his hometown, music by the Hot Boys and Outkast played an effective part on his interest in rapping and at age nine he wrote his first rap. After spending five years in New Orleans he moved in with his mother to Fort Bragg in the middle of his sixth grade year. Here he began listening to such rappers as Ludacris and Twista. While doing this he then learned a different form of rap. This changed him from his native New Orleans style of rapping. After his eigth grade year he decided to get serious about his rapping. After going through multple rap names (Capital J, King Bril) he decided to call himself KonVerse and stuck with it. Til this day he continues to progress in his rapping and hopes to get signed by DTP.
